Patchwork Pencil Case # 1

This is what the other small peace of patchwork I have made some time ago became, a pencil case. I used 2 layers of interfacing to make a soft and very strong one – the fabrics also help, almost all of them are a mixture between linen and cotton, what results in a wonderful consistence, soft but very sturdy. I think this case will last a lifetime! (it can be washed, but better by hand to keep the shape nice for a longer time.)

About

I like summer nights, autumm mornings with hot green tea, and cats. To stand underneath waterfalls and to float on the sea looking the sky. I like also wind on my face and to get dizzy thinking about what the infinite is.

I love books, cinema, music from distant cultures, to dance at the living room (everywhere else too), and sewing! I sew since I was 8 years old, with a big interval, but the same love, emotion and pleasure as when I was a child.

From the professional point of view, I have a graduation on History, with masters degree and PhD on the relationship between Art & Literature on the work of William Blake. I worked until now mainly with Art, at a Museum and the Biennal.

At the moment I´m at home with my two small daughters, what gives me time for sewing again.
